The DRC Receptionist Network
Following the closure of the British Dental Receptionists Association, the Dental Resource
Company has extended their existing student support provisions and developed the Receptionist Network, to continue to
offer receptionists a source of information and a method of contacting other receptionists in the absence of their
Association. On behalf of the Receptionist Network, Glenys Bridges will provide monthly articles for the dental press
and will send any receptionist expressing a wish to be included on our contacts database, a free quarterly
electronic newsletter.

Aspiring to Management - A First Step Award for Managers

Practice Management Tool Kits
This new series of management programmes cover a range of essential management skills and can be used to accrue verifiable CPD,
as an introduction to management skills, or as a refresher for existing managers. The first group of topics will become available
from 1st September 2009. These are:
- Writing a business plan
- Leadership and team building
- Problem solving
- Selling dental services
The second group, available from 1st Nov 2009, are:
- Finance
- Time management
- Customer care
Each programme is worth 9 hours of verifiable CPD when work meeting the programmes criteria is produced and forwarded for assessment.
Course fee is £75 plus VAT.
