Terms & Conditions of Business
The Dental Business Academy will be referred to as TDBA from this point forward. TDBA will refer to the purchaser as the client and the person under going training as the student. Where this may be one-and-the-same, the term client will be adapted.
- TDBA will provide the student with a detailed outline of the course as part of the booking process.
- The full course fee becomes due on completion of the booking process and can be paid on invoice or standing order. All course fees to be paid no later than two weeks prior to course completion.
- Once a booking has been agreed between TDBA and the client, then TDBA cannot accept any responsibility or liability if the client or student defaults from the booking unless the course is booked online. In this instance, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 apply and clients have a cooling off period of 7 working days. Under these terms a full refund will be given of any monies paid, provided that the customer notifies TDBA Head Office in writing.
- TDBA cannot accept responsibility or liability if the student fails to complete the course because of an effect or omission on the part of the client or student. Therefore, the student must ensure they are able to meet the requirements of the programme before commencement date.
- TDBA website/course materials are protected by copyright and are owned by The Dental Business Academy. Unless written permission is given by TDBA no part of the website and or its content may be reproduced, stored or transmitted in anyway, other than for personal non-commercial use during the time you are a customer of DBA and thereafter. You may not modify or create any copies of the website, course content or use any illustrations, photographs, videos or audio sequences separately from the accompanying text. Any permitted use of either the website or course content, illustrations, photographs, videos or audio sequences is subject to displaying the copyright notices as they appear on the TDBA website and course content. If you use any of the contents of the website in breach of the above terms, your right to use the site will cease with immediate effect. Any request for permission to use TDBA website, content or images should be made by e-mail to: info@thedentalbusinessacademy.co.uk
- TDBA only offers the facility for a refund once payment has been made, when the refund is the result of TDBA cancelling a course. TDBA reserves the right to cancel courses that do not attract sufficient numbers of students to ensure viability.
- TDBA aims to meet the needs of the client and student at all times and will make every attempt to do so. In the event of a course being postponed due to unforeseen circumstances the student will be offered alternative arrangements.
- TDBA strives to ensure equality within all its activities. Therefore, students with individual needs will be given additional support, guidance, training and encouragement to achieve equality of opportunity.
- TDBA will inform the student of the possible course of action if the student feels they have been treated unfairly at any time during the period of training.
- The BTEC Advanced Diploma in Dental Reception, BTEC Professional Diploma in Dental Practice Management, BTEC Professional Diploma in Strategic Dental Practice Management and BTEC Advanced Diploma in Care Coordination, are English qualifications and all references to legal codes are specific to English law. This legislation may or may not apply in your local jurisdiction; even so TDBA believes that the measures covered in this programme are conducive to a safe and healthy working environment.
- TDBA requires payment to terms. Payment must be made on time, in full, and without any deduction, set off or counterclaim. In the event that an account is outstanding, we will refer the matter to our debt collection agents, Daniels Silverman Limited, which will incur a surcharge of 15% of the debt, plus VAT at the prevailing rate. You agree that you will be legally liable to pay us that surcharge, and that payment of the same can be enforced against you in court. You also agree to pay interest at the relevant reference rate provided for under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, which interest is payable both after and before any judgment of the court and continues to accrue.
- TDBA promotional vouchers and codes may only be redeemed at our website www.thedentalbusinessacademy.co.uk toward the purchase of listed courses. Please note that a staged purchase value may apply. Promotional vouchers cannot be used retrospectively, i.e., applied to orders already placed with us. Please refer to your promotional voucher for the expiry date and any additional offer restrictions. Promotional vouchers have a cash value of GBP 0.001 and are not transferable or assignable. Certain products may be exempt from promotional offers. TDBA reserves the right to cancel online vouchers at any time. Please note that voucher codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Discounts will be applied to the final payment when course fees are paid by standing order.
- Level 4 BTEC Professional Diploma in Dental Practice Management students only. At the time of booking their course students are required to specify any unit workshops they wish to attend. There is no additional charge for the workshops. However, students that book a workshop and fail to show, without giving a minimum of 48 hours notice, may be liable to a venue cost of £45.00 plus VAT
